Municipalities & Cities
Commercial Christmas decorations for cities are purpose-built for public spaces — designed to handle weather exposure, repeated installation, and high-visibility downtown environments. Holiday Designs™ has been supplying municipal Christmas displays across the United States for over 30 years, manufacturing in our Gainesville, GA facility.
We accept purchase orders. We work within your bid process. And we answer the phone.
We’ve worked with cities long enough to know that buying commercial Christmas decorations for municipalities isn’t simple. There’s a bid process to navigate, a timeline that can’t slip, and expectations from residents who’ve been lighting up the same downtown for years. And when something goes wrong, there’s no easy way to fix it before the season starts.
We’re not here to oversell you on a bigger display than you need. We’re here to help you get the right municipal holiday display — on time, on budget, and installed before Thanksgiving.
That’s it. That’s the whole promise.
From a single downtown street to a city-wide program, we manufacture and supply everything your community needs for a complete, cohesive holiday display.
Panel trees, tower trees, and RGB trees for city plazas, town squares, and tree lighting ceremonies. Modular and scalable to fit any space or budget.
🏙️ Pole-Mounted Holiday Displays
Snowflakes, wreaths, silhouettes, and boulevard decorations for street poles and light poles throughout your downtown district.
Commercial wreaths and garland for cohesive, coordinated streetscapes. Built for outdoor installation and multi-season use.
✏️ Custom Holiday Displays
Designed from scratch to fit your specific space, poles, and community identity. Some of our longest partnerships started with a custom project.
🏛️ Ground-Mount Scenes & Displays
Nativity scenes, animated displays, and character figures for parks, town squares, and high-visibility public spaces.
🔄 Replacement & Expansion
Replacing aging inventory or expanding an existing program? We work with what you have and help you build on it over time.
We manufacture in our own facility. When you order commercial Christmas decorations from us, your display isn’t sitting in a container ship. It’s being built by our team, to spec, on a timeline we control. That matters when your install date is non-negotiable.
Municipal purchasing works a certain way, and we work with it — not around it. POs accepted. We’re also very familiar with new vendor setup packets and the documentation your purchasing department needs to get us into your system. Send us the paperwork and we’ll typically have it back to you same day or next.
A lot of products get labeled “commercial-grade” these days. We use a different standard — municipal-grade. Purpose-built for public installation, long-term outdoor use, and the kind of wear that comes from being up every season for a decade. UV-resistant, weatherproof, and built to survive. Not residential product dressed up in a commercial box.
If your municipal Christmas decorations project requires competitive quotes or a formal RFP, we know how that works. We’ve helped cities spec their projects, submitted competitive bids, and won them — including for clients we’d worked with for years. We’re not afraid of the process because we know our product stands up to it.
Planning to write a commercial Christmas tree RFP? We’ve published a complete guide — checklist, copy-paste template, spec reference tables, and the three mistakes that cost cities the most. Read the RFP guide →
Need a holiday display that fits your specific streetscape, your specific poles, your specific community identity? We design from scratch. Bring us your downtown and we’ll bring you options. We’ve been doing this for over 30 years — there’s not much we haven’t figured out how to build.
We expect that — and we welcome it. Most of the cities we work with go through a formal bid or competitive quote process. We’ll give you thorough documentation, accurate specs, and a competitive price. What we’ve found is that when municipalities compare apples to apples — municipal-grade product, real lead times, actual communication — we do just fine.
We work hard to be competitive — and in public bid situations, we know the price has to be right. If you’ve gotten multiple quotes and we’re close, please tell us. Sometimes the difference comes down to something small — shipping, a minor adjustment — and we’d rather find a way to make it work than lose you over a gap we might be able to close.
What we’d ask is that you compare apples to apples. Are the lights the same? We use C7 bulbs — individually replaceable, far more durable, and easy for your crew to maintain. With mini lights or rope lights, one failure often means replacing entire sections. Is the steel the same gauge? Is the lead time realistic for your install date?
We’ve seen cities choose the lowest bid and then watch the display arrive late, bend in the first season, or look nothing like what was quoted. That’s a worst case that’s hard to recover from when your downtown is counting on you. If we’re in the same ballpark, give us a chance to earn it.
We know. That’s why we give you everything you need to make the case internally — detailed quotes, product specs, photos of comparable installs, and honest answers to whatever questions come up in the room. We want you to feel confident presenting this to your leadership, not just to us.
We’ve built and supplied nearly the entire municipal Christmas display for the City of Riverdale over more than 10 years. What started as one order became a long-term partnership — adding pieces each season, expanding the program as their community grew. That’s how we prefer to work.
Palmetto called us in September needing approximately 80 pole mount displays — late in the season by most vendors’ standards. We fabricated and delivered the full order before Thanksgiving. While we were working on specs together, they mentioned they’d been planning to order a custom seahorse design from a separate vendor. We were able to build that too, consolidating everything into one order, one vendor, one shipment. That’s the kind of flexibility a small, direct manufacturer can offer.
We were invited by Abbeville to help plan and design their 2025 municipal holiday display — before the project ever went out to bid. We worked through the concept together, helped them spec it out, and when the competitive bid process opened, we submitted along with everyone else. We were awarded the contract, fabricated custom pieces in Gainesville, sourced the remaining product, assisted with layout and scheduling, and handled full installation. Completed before Thanksgiving 2025.
“We’re only working with Holiday Designs.”
The City of Ogdensburg liked our work so much they named their annual light show after us. When their city contact gets a catalog from another vendor, she tells her team to throw it in the trash. Thirty years of showing up will do that.
A quick call or email — tell us about your space, your poles, your budget range, and what you’re hoping to accomplish. We’ve done this enough times that we can usually help you think through options you hadn’t considered.
We’ll send you a detailed quote with product specs, pricing, and lead times. If your project requires bid documentation, we’ll put that together too. No vague estimates — real numbers you can take to your purchasing department.
Once you’re ready to move forward — PO, approval, whatever your process requires — we start production. You’ll know exactly when to expect delivery.
Displays arrive with all hardware included. Most can be installed by your own city crew. And if you have questions during install, call us. Someone answers.
Whether you’re replacing aging inventory, building a municipal Christmas display from scratch, or just trying to figure out what’s realistic for your budget — we’re happy to have that conversation.
No pressure. No pitch. Just an honest look at what’s possible for your community this season. If you’re planning for this season, the earlier we talk, the more options you’ll have.
Or call us directly at 1-800-516-4270. We answer.
Yes. We work with municipalities, cities, and government agencies regularly and accept purchase orders as a standard form of payment. We’re also very familiar with new vendor setup packets — the documentation your purchasing department needs to get us into your system. Send us the paperwork and we’ll typically have it back to you same day or next.
Yes. We’re experienced with municipal purchasing requirements and can provide detailed quotes, product specifications, and bid documentation. We’ve submitted competitive bids for long-term clients and won them on the merits of our product and pricing.
Yes. We manufacture in our facility in Gainesville, Georgia. Custom and standard products are built by our team on a production schedule we control, which is part of why we can commit to real delivery timelines.
For most projects, we recommend beginning the process between January and July. Municipal projects with custom elements or large quantities typically need 8–16 weeks from order to delivery. That said, we’ve handled late-season orders when our production schedule allows — if you’re working with a tight timeline, call us and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
Call us immediately. Our products ship via freight carrier, and damage must be documented at delivery and reported within 24–48 hours. Inspect your shipment before the driver leaves and note any damage on the delivery receipt. The sooner we know, the more we can do. This is one more reason to order early — it gives everyone time to make things right if something unexpected happens.
Yes. Custom design is one of our strengths. Bring us your space — the pole specs, the streetscape, the aesthetic you’re going for — and we’ll work up options that fit. Some of our longest municipal relationships started with a custom project.
We manufacture in the USA — in Gainesville, GA — so we control our own production schedule and quality. We’ve been supplying commercial Christmas decorations for municipalities for over 30 years. We accept purchase orders, work within your bid process, and we’re easy to reach. When you call us, someone answers. That last part sounds simple, but it matters more than most people expect until they’ve dealt with a vendor who doesn’t.
